Rules and courtesy for group members

1. Enjoy the game and learn from your mistakes.

2. Flight and comms discipline will be adhered to prior to combat.  Chatting en route is OK but ceases when action starts.
3. Don’t attack until ordered OR if you are in immediate danger and must evade.
4. Try to maintain situational awareness...
       - where you are
       - where your buddies are
       - where the bad guys are
       - where the target is
5. BOMBER FORMATIONS...
        - No defensive maneuvers while in a heavy bomber formation (e.g. B25 or larger), it only puts the rest in danger

        - Maintain formation integrity - this is better for bomb drops and better for defence (more guns)

        - A crippled bomber that drops out of formation is expendable, do NOT try to shepherd it with other bombers

           (fighters escort...bombers do not)

        - If your bomber is crippled immediately drop your loadout, head for the deck and head for home, do not try to keep with the             formation if unable

6. If separated and alone but in good shape, either link up with the nearest friendly aircraft or head for home.

7. USE YOUR WINGMAN or others for help...survival is best when it's a team sport!
8. COMMS
        - Be brief and to the point
        - General rule = when someone calls an enemy contact everybody else SHUTS UP in order to hear the contact info
        - DO NOT hog the radio during combat, say what you need to say then get off the means
        - If someone queries the tower, stay off the means while the tower responds (do not talk over the tower)
9. Take note of your claims (Honor system prevails... but gun cameras don’t lie)
        - Identify an aircraft using the acronym WEFT (Wings, Engine, Fuselage, Tail)
        - type of aircraft you attacked, how many and time attack initiated (approx)
        - general area attack initiated (e.g. map reference/location)
        - general altitude (approx)
        - results (“got one smoking”, “damaged one”, “destroyed one, saw it go in near XXX”, etc)
10. Shooting at friendly aircraft may result in penalties. Know your aircraft!
11. Noseart:
        - Can be custom designed but should reflect the war period (i.e. no Homer Simpsons etc)
        - Can be sexy/erotic (pin-up) but again, in the style/taste of the period DO NOT GO OVERBOARD!
12. Aircraft Skins: whenever possible all flyers will utilize the appropriate markings/paint pertaining to the squadron represented.
